Rural Routes 2024 Spring Edition

Rural Routes is to highlight all things Agriculture!

Agriculture stands as an indispensable pillar of Alberta's identity and economy, ingrained deeply into the province's cultural fabric while driving substantial economic activity. With its vast expanse of fertile land, Alberta serves as a powerhouse in agricultural production, boasting a diverse array of crops and livestock. Beyond its economic significance, agriculture ensures the province's food security, offering a dependable source of locally grown foodstuffs for its residents. Moreover, Alberta's farmers actively engage in sustainable practices, serving as stewards of the environment and champions of conservation efforts.

Thank you to all the producers in the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River No.124 for continuing to show resilience through adverse times in order to put food on the tables of many Albertans!
